May 12, 2018 is the date!

Join us on May 12th, for a sampling craft beers from over 90 breweries from across the country and around the world.

A great event for a great cause!

The Alleghenies Premier Beer Festival is back! Pints for Pets has been enjoyed by tens of thousands of people over our 11 year history.  This brewfest has received local, regional and even national recognition.  Many of our attendees travel great distances to attend each year.  And all net proceeds go directly to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society which helps over 2,000 animals yearly.

Over our eleven year history, Pints for Pets has raised over $750,000 all to benefit the good work of the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.

We thank our generous sponsors, all the breweries that give of their time and beers, our volunteers and our thousands of attendees. Most of all we thank our committee for their tireless efforts that have brought this event to Blair County for 11 years. We’re looking forward to another great year!

Our festival provides brewers from around the country with an opportunity to share their products and brewing techniques with a large segment of their consumers in an exciting and fun atmosphere.

We are pleased to present the 2018 Pints for Pets Brewfest to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.  Now in our 11th year, the festival will be held on Saturday, May 12th, 2017 with Session 1 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and Session 2 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Peoples Natural Gas Field, home to our own Altoona Curve baseball team.

Pints for Pets, with 90 brewers bringing at least four beers to sample, is one of the largest brewfests with the most beers on the East Coast!

Our 2018 Festival will take place on Saturday, May 12th, 2018, again at People’s Natural Gas Field (formerly Blair County Ballpark) in Altoona, PA. Tickets will go on sale on mid-March. Join us in this tasting event of craft beers from over 90 breweries from across the state, country and around the world! This high-energy event is this region’s largest brewfest and continues to grow in popularity. Everyone has a great time for a great cause.

The Venue at PNG Field

Our unique venue has it all.  The brewfest is held on the mezzanine level of the ballpark.  Since the mezzanine is covered we can hold this event rain or shine.  And it’s open to the field so the views are great with the “Skyliner” roller coaster from neighboring Lakemont Park toward first base and the scenic Allegheny Mountains beyond add to the overall beauty of People Natural Gas Field.

Opened on April 15, 1999, People Natural Gas Field  is widely considered by fans, players, baseball executives and media as one of the finest minor league baseball facilities in America.

Located just off Interstate 99 in Altoona, the ballpark features a beautiful brick exterior and the design is modeled after a railroad roundhouse to tie in the industry which helped found the city of Altoona, and is still very much present to this day.

Entertainment

Every year we invite some of the best local bands to play at Pints for Pets. The stage is set up on the first base side of the stadium just outside the mezzanine. Sit back, relax and enjoy live music from Central PA’s favorite bands and musicians.

The Ballpark concession stands are open during the entire brewfest.  Even non-beer drinkers love the festive atmosphere and come out to socialize with friends and neighbors in what has been called “The Un-Official Start of the Summer” here in the Alleghenies.

The Beneficiary

Thanks to the generosity of our many sponsors who underwrite all of the brewfest costs, we can guarantee that 100% of all net proceeds go directly to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.

The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society takes in over 5,000 animals that have been surrendered, abandoned, or stray.

It’s a great day, awesome beers, cool folks and a very worthy cause.  What could possibly be better than this wonderful day at the ballpark!
